This is a story of naivety which ended with overcharging and frustration.
We were coming back from a trip to Italy. After driving 700 km we needed a place to stay and a nice dinner – as Slovenia is half way to Bulgaria. We chose this place on booking.com
On the day of our reservation (10.05.24) they required that we call them at least an hour in advance to reconfirm time of arrival. I called from the Italian-Slovenian border and no one answered! After 15 minutes, I called a second time, as they did not have the courtesy to call me back.
We tried to reach the house using the address and send texts and we ended driving up on an extremely narrow, steep and winding roads, with sharp turns where we got lost between some small vineyards and other houses. The roads were so narrow that two cars cannot pass by each other Things were even worse because we were with a very long car.
It took us about 25 minutes to somehow escape the maze of narrow alleys and to get back from scratch. I called our host again. This time he tried to lead us over the phone, and following his guidance after few minutes we reached a fork in this tiny, winding road where he himslef was not sure how to lead us further. So he asked us to stop and wait for his father to come and take us, who was supposed to come in 5 minutes. After waiting for 10 minutes we were frustrated enough and our patience ran out. On top of that it was almost 8:00 pm and from our previous stay 10 days ago in the same vicinity we were aware that all restaurants in the area are closing by that time. So we were facing not only the frustration of having nowhere to stay but also a lack of dinner after 700 km drive.
We decided to continue our trip, to stop and sleep in some motel on the road. Leaving the area, we were stopped at a temporary traffic light because of some road works, where a car stopped by us. It turned out that this was the father, our host!

Great cottage inmidst of vineyards and a beautiful, quite landscape. The cottage itself is very comfortable and it can be seen and felt that is has been equipped lovefully in every detail. We enjoyed our stay a lot and would even have choosen to stay longer, if it would have been possible. We are already making plans for the next stay...

We liked everything! The location is beautiful, the small cottage is quietly located on the vineyard, and when the sky is clear you can admire a beautiful starry sky at night.
The terrace with a view of the vines invites you to relax, eat and drink wine :) (or anything else). There is a lot of privacy and there is a field-, and forest path in front of the door, perfect for our dog.
The cottage is like the pictures, small, but has everything you need, including a dishwasher. It was also very clean.
What impressed us most was the hospitality of the owners, who are very friendly and helpful. In principle I rarely give ten points but this accommodation really deserves it.

A great place to relax or have a small celebration. :) The hosts were very nice and provided us instructions on how to best arrive at the location, and were in general very responsive to our questions.

We stayed here during the holidays while skiing in the nearby Ski resort Gače. Incredible holiday house. First time ever that we had a whole house for ourselves. Very peaceful area. We had everything we needed. Even sauna! :) The host was exceptionally helpful. She took care of everything. We had our car right at the doorstep, so moving luggage and skiing equipment was very easy. For sure we will come back again when visiting this region. There is still plenty of interesting things to discover, experience and taste in Bela Krajina during other parts of the year.

Location is very nice and the hosts are super friendly. We were very welcome there. Freshly baked bread, milk for kids and water where available for oone night stay. Owners shared their local wine experience and we got a taste of their wines. Super nice and friendly, high recommended. The cottage was very clean. Would be nice to stay there bit more to enjoy relaxing mood of the place and make some barbeque. You would need a car to reach the place.
Perfect Hotel for visiting Otocec, Novo Mesto or just as transit beeing close to highway and still in a quiet beauitful area. Wonderful breakfeast, Gentle Staff, just take care of deers running on your car. had some damage. this is not the hotels fault so still 10 points being everything awesome. The room is big, nice view on hills and nature, very clean, everything to have a nice stay and also Novo Mesto is worth visting.
House was very clean and fully equipped. View from the deck is amazing and location itself is very quite and calming.
Host was very friendly and ready to answer any additional questions we had. Checking in and out was easy and without any issues.
I also recommend homemade products available in the house which look very nice.
