Very quiet, beautiful stay on Pico Island. Nicely decorated and very easy to get to and from town to get groceries, run errands, etc. Laundry facilities are available if you need them and the home was equipped with shampoo, body wash, and a hair dryer.

Beautiful location and charming room maintaining the charm of the volcanic rock structure. The pool was lovely and we appreciated the free accessible washing machine with complimentary laundry soap. The kitchen had everything we could need, including olive oil, salt, dish towels and plenty of pots for cooking.

We enjoyed the large and extremely well-equipped kitchen, which included a full sized refrigerator and freezer and some staples like salt and cooking oil. The bedrooms were large and had comfortable mattresses. The property was located in a picturesque area with wine "currais", the traditional lava rock pens in the backyard. It was tastefully decorated.

The house is beautiful and very well equiped. The views from the house are simply spectacular and beautiful. A nice place to rest and enjoy the landscape and sea views of Pico Island. We only stayed for 2 nights but we realise that it's a place to stay longer.

We had a wonderful stay! The house is very clean, well-equipped and has authentic and cosy atmosphere. And the hosts are such friendly and nice people! We are really happy we chose casa de basalto.

I cannot recommend this place enough . Pictures don’t do justice . The scenery is absolutely breathtaking ,there is an outdoor pool which is heated and also a jacuzzi , which can be used during the colder months . It was very clean , excellent amenities, the bed very comfortable and the staff very nice . Lana was very helpful and friendly.
Great little house in the mountain. Bed was super comfy and loved the bathtub and jacuzzi after climbing pico.
The house was very clean and although I didn't meet the host, check in was smooth and they were in touch during our stay to confirm our stay was going well.
Wonderful place! We were in two couples, the house has two rooms with double beds so it was perfect. We spent three nights and we did barbecue twice, there was all the equipment for everything. There were so many towels compared to standard places where usually you have to use the same for all the nights. It was all very clean and very quiet.
This was the best hotel we stayed at during our acores trip. The accommodation is very clean and provides many facilities, such as a swimming pool and whirlpool which you can use for free. From there, you can even see the mount Pico in the back!
