Location is incredible. Literally the last house on the street with an incredible view over the canyon and just metres from the start of the balcony walk.
Property actually has 3 bedrooms, one - with a huge glass window - which faces over the canyon and 2 other rooms which face into the private courtyard which is also a private car park. Dinner and breakfast can be bought from the owner who also took us on a short walk up the mountain to see the sunset.

This is the stunning villa set against a backdrop of greenery. Also, there is a great space to put up a bonfire and roast some barbecue. The sight of the stars from outside the villa at night is fantastic, and so is watching the sun rise a short distance from the villa. The rooms are warm, comfortable, and tidy and the only disadvantage is the waterlogging in the toilet floor. This can be easily fixed by providing a wiper. The kitchen has all the required utensils as well as a drinking water gallon. All in all, it’s a great spot for self rejuvenation and nature exploration.

We had an amazing stay at Jebel Shams Sky. This is not just a room but an entire mountain cabin with two master bedrooms, comfortably sleeping up to six people. There is also a spacious open-plan dining room, coffee corner, and sitting area. As it was just my husband and me, we only used one of the bedrooms, which, along with the en-suite bathroom, was really large and clean.
As for the location, the name truly says it all: breathtaking sunsets and a sky full of stars! The host, Salman, is incredibly kind and hospitable, and on top of that, he’s an excellent Jebel Shams tour guide. We did a Wadi Nakhr tour by 4x4 and the Jebel Shams Balcony Walk - both were among our best activities and memories in Oman. Highly recommended.

Detached villa with parking in a quiet location. Fantastic sunset from the neighbouring hill. The price is a bit high, but we got it at a discount, so ok. Since the tourist business in Oman is still in its formative stages, you should be prepared for the fact that the tap in the kitchen is sticking out of a hole in the wall, there is no adaptor for a European socket, and the air conditioning does not work in winter because it is designed only for cooling (however, in winter it is quite cold at night in this mountainous area). Not a bad breakfast (we got it as a genius)

A very neat house with all necessary facilities. Although not near the summit of Jebel Shams, it is high enough to enjoy excellent views - and its own location is stunning. We requested dinner and breakfast, and both were adequate. Everything is exceptionally clean and things work. We got lost looking for the house (our fault because we didn't have adequate GPS coverage but the owners went out of their way to come find and us and escort us to the house.

Location is great. The outdoor eating is atmospheric. Good for families.
Great for families or large parties, holiday homes are privately owned accommodation, available for long or short-term rental. These homes are furnished and equipped with kitchen facilities for self-catering, although breakfast may be offered as an add-on. These properties have their own independent front door, which makes them different to apartments.
The location was great and the place was very clean. The host was very welcoming. The host made sure that he was aware of when we would arrive so that he could meet us and ensure that all our questions were answered. We were welcomed with qahwa, fresh fruits, biscuits and dates which was very nice.
We picked the place because we wanted to take our dog with us, so it was great that the place was pet friendly!
Location is perfect, very close to Balcony Walk. The host are amazing - very generous and hospitable (we did not have a 4WD car and they enquired about our car and picked us up from the road to ensure safe drive for a very reasonable price). We were greeted with coffee, dates and fruit. The rooms itself are freshly renovated and very clean.
The hotel was great, the staff were friendly and helpful too. Since it is on top of Jebel shams approx 2k metres above sea level, the views were stunning! Both the sunrise and sunset viewing points was a short hike/drive away and offered breathtaking views. The room was spacious too and very clean.
Great position as a base for hiking on the balcony trail. Staff very kind. The accomodation is charming and very clean.
