The property was beautiful and made for a wonderfully relaxing getaway. It’s been created with all of the best details kept in mind - you’re able to sit on the bed with the balcony door open, watching the birds fly around outside. There was good temperature control inside the room as well, so it wasn’t too hot during the hot Summer weather.
We took full advantage of the nice setup, enjoying the provided coffee and muesli in the morning.

I had already stayed here a couple of years back and loved it, so on my folks visit, who were visiting from the UK, so this was a must stay, and coincided with it my being my Mum's birthday while there - in which she was extremely happy to wake up to the views this place had to offer on her birthday. We were travelling up when there were bad storms and road closures, but called up Dean to check on the roads and he advised they were all good, and that we were able to check in early if we got there early - as long as the cleaners were done, which was a huge help. We had one day where we weren't able to leave the chalet due to the bad weather, but we didn't complain - we watched movies on the smart TV, played games on the outside table as it was under a shelter and the chalet had everything we needed.
The location is great and as mentioned, beautiful views, very peaceful, the chalets have a great layout and are spacious and had everything that we needed, with the added bonus of being dog friendly.
The chalets about a 15 minute drive from the main town, and on quite windy roads, but that wasn't an issue for us, and given Russell has no big supermarket, we did a big shop in KeriKeri on the way up and then just topped up on things when needed.
Highly recommend, and will definitely return again and again :)
