A fine solution for an overnight stay, but when you say "tiny" that is exactly correct.
But Tranquility was certainly tranquil and nicely located.
Heating was a slight issue as we found it rather cold overnight whilst we do not like running heating systems unnecessarily when asleep.

The location and views looking over Catlins Lake and Estuary were absolutely great. Easy scenic drives to many lovely places. The hosts anticipate virtually every need. Rarely have we stayed in a holiday home so generously outfitted with equipment including a high powered torch, extra batteries, cold packs in the freezer for picnics and fishing expeditions. The kitchen abounded with quality seasonings, oils, spices, coffee, tea... the works. All needed to start and maintain wood-burner was handily placed. The house stayed warm and the beds were super comfy. The linens were very cozy. The grounds were lovely and very well-maintained but not overly "manicured" as such would be at odds with the graceful natural beauty of the site.

Great location, a nice place. Comfy beds, decent kitchen, ok bathroom. We enjoyed our stay.
Great for families or large parties, holiday homes are privately owned accommodation, available for long or short-term rental. These homes are furnished and equipped with kitchen facilities for self-catering, although breakfast may be offered as an add-on. These properties have their own independent front door, which makes them different to apartments.
We have stayed here a few times and have found these hotels to have everything you would need to have a good stay, whether as a couple or with a family. The facilities are a bit dated but well maintained and very clean as are the grounds outside. They come with covered parking and a few friendly cat visitors! I would highly recommend this Motel for convenience and comfort.
Very nice place, very clean and tidy, nice and quiet area, loved staying here and will definitely be staying again and recommending to friends and family when they are in the area. Very cute friendly cat that comes around to say Hi when you arrive
The breakfast was excellent- beautifully roasted muesli, home made delicious yoghurt and a delicious fresh fruit salad made from local fruit .The owner was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The location right in the centre of Owaka left nothing to be desired re location.the uit was very clean.
Staying at the Tiny House was a great new experience close to nature. We loved the silence and peace below the big trees. We also loved the sound of the birds singing. The house was very clean, well equipped, and everything worked fine.
A small roof above the front door would be more comfortable, though.
We can really recommend staying at Tiny House.
