Although tiny, the property was perfect - clean, comfortable, great shower and all the amenities you would find in a hotel with bonus of being in a quiet, rural retreat with great views and 5 mins from Te Anau - which was a lovely little town. The host was friendly and accomodating and, although no WiFi or TV, this was not required due to the lovely setting. If you enjoy the best of glamping, this is one for you.

There were no instructions as to where the key was located. We called the host and left a message but still haven't heard back 24 hours later. We approached a neighbour who showed us where they key was located, in a cup in a small cupboard above the sink at the OUTSIDE laundry bench. It is not to hard to install a locked key box to make life easier for everyone, lucky the neighbour was home.

Location just 3km from Te Anau central. Very easy to find. Cottage was quaint, freshly renovated, comfortable, very clean, bed a little soft for my taste but others might like that. Nice and quiet and you can sit outside to eat in your own little garden. Parking right outside your cottage. Great value for money.

This Cottage was a delight. It was clean, comfortable, really well presented and maintained.
The shower was brilliant, powerful and hot which is something I’ve not really found yet in NZ but this was very refreshing. Great size accommodation for a couple, a few friends or a family with 2 children - beds set up with a double and 2 singles in a separate room. Well stocked kitchen and comfortable lounge/dining areas. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Te Anau or surrounding areas. A+
Great for families or large parties, holiday homes are privately owned accommodation, available for long or short-term rental. These homes are furnished and equipped with kitchen facilities for self-catering, although breakfast may be offered as an add-on. These properties have their own independent front door, which makes them different to apartments.
Very clean and tidy. Compact unit but didn't feel crowded. Had everything you could want. The shower was fantastic, great pressure, lovely fluffy towels. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Whole place had a really nice feel to it.
These were the cutest rooms on a campsite. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Possum Lodge is in a great spot, you can walk through the woods to the harbour for the boat trip to Doubtful Sound. Its just a shame there isn't a view of the lake.
The kitchen was basic but adequately equipped.
A really lovely place to stay in a spectacular location and great vibe. We stayed in the dorm and it was very cosy and comfortable. The kitchen area was well stocked, although it was maybe a bit small for purpose at peak times. The bathrooms were very clean. The location is amazing, a quiet village away with a beauiful beach lake looking out over he fiords.
Very clean and well decorated interior. The exterior could do with some maintenance, but it's acceptable. Comfortable beds with good bedding along with a fridge and TV. The bathroom is a bit dated but clean with plenty of hot water.
There is a separate laundry room and a separate communal kitchen. The washer is $2, as is the dryer.
This place has some bad reviews. Maybe we were lucky and got a good room. If you're looking for luxury, then stay somewhere else and pay a lot, lot more!
