It's quite far from town but that was why I picked it. There are some restaurants and cafes close by and a convenience store that's just about walkable.
There are some good hiking routes nearby and it's really peaceful at night.
An old lady was so happy to see me at the bus stop one morning that she gave me money to buy a treat.

I had a wonderful 3-night stay during winter. The property was impeccably clean, with the water heater and room heater functioning perfectly, ensuring a comfortable and cozy experience. A special mention goes to the owner, Mr. Kim, who was incredibly helpful and attentive throughout the stay. Everything was very clean and the bed was soo comfortable. Had a very good sleep!! The hostel had everything you needed, have no complaints at all. Would come again!!
- The hotel is very close to the beach front. It is about a 30 minute walk from Gangneung coffee street.

We had a corner room with a large window and a balcony overlooking the sea and the lake. The room was not big but there was enough space for a comfortable stay. It was very clean and the staff was very efficient.
The location is great; you can go for nice stroll around the lake or the lovely beach. There were lots of cherry blossoms all around the lake, making it a great sight.
There are many eating options at the hotel.
The facility is located in a residential area, but was quite close to bus stops. The breakfast is basically self catering and cleaning - some bread, jam, coffee. The kitchen area is very clean and well organized. Bedroom was warm in the wintertime (it was -15 C outside), although a bit cramped. You have to leave your shoes outside (in cold room), but the manager offered some device for warming and drying shoes.
The location was excellent. Right in the downtown with shops all around. The staff was exceptional-very friendly and helpful. Hotel was very, very clean.
It is quite well located, just 15mins walk to the central market or gangneung train/KTX station. Bus stop is nearby where you can take buses to almost everywhere in gangneung. The house and room itself looks pretty tired but very clean. There are 3 levels and each level has its own kitchenette and dining area. Stove and microwave available for cooking or heating food. The owner is very friendly as well.
The owner was so kind and helpful. We wanted to leave our bags at the property early in the morning so we could explore the city, she made it very easy. Very clean for a guesthouse bathroom. Great value.
