Vacation Homes in Msambweni

Very spacious room, clean and with a beautiful pool area. The rooms were very clean, the host was very attentive and the breakfast super delicious. They even accomodated for early breakfasts before our dives. It is a short walk to the beach or you can take a cheap tuktuk back and forth. There were moscito nets for all the beds. Absolutely loved our stay.

We were so fortunate to be able to spend a few nights at Dario’s pool cottage! Photos do not show how gorgeous this home is. The beds are comfy, there are modern AC units in the bedrooms and the pool and outside sitting areas are private and luxurious. We couldn’t believe our luck in finding this place. It is a quick Tuktuk ride to most amenities and just around the corner from the cave restaurant (also a short walk from the Stilts Treehouses where they feed bush babies at the pub every evening). Dario was a wonderful host and Faith ensured we had everything we needed, including booking excursions and transportation from Mombasa. Stay here!!

Everything

The location is perfect even though not a beach-front. It is quiet and safe with a nice parking. Accessing the property requires a little bit more effort because it is off the main road requiring using a small acccess-earth-road.

The yard was very nice, we didn't use the pool, because it has no filters, but they were cleaning in the morning. The house is traditional african, the beds comfortable and protected with net for mosquitoes. The host were very friendly and kind and always asked if we are OK. We forgot some things there and she called us to go back and take them

This was such an amazing stay! First of all, our apartment was nice, clean, comfortable and overall great for a few nights near the beach (not more than 5 mins on foot with a brisk pace). The setup of the villas is in a beautiful private garden located in a silent guarded compound and felt very safe and tranquil. Most importantly though, Hans, the host, was simply amazing and really dedicated to making his guests happy and satisfied with the stay. Hans was somehow always there when we needed anything or wanted to ask some questions but he was also completely unintrusive of our privacy - whenever we felt like being alone, we've had complete privacy like in a quality hotel room. From the moment of our arrival, we felt exceptionally welcomed in Lions Home and spent some pleasant time chatting with Hans in the evenings after enjoying the beach area around (while Hans supplied the local beer in a chilled glass from his fridge). Anything we needed to know about the area, Hans was able to advise. I travel a lot and can say that such a great host is really a gem, one in a million. We also fell in love with Hans's cute and friendly dogs - Hans first assured whether we're comfortable with dogs around and as we were, we've had pretty much unlimited access to cuddling those lovely little creatures. The breakfasts were also delicious! Overall, this stay was a highlight of our travels around East Africa and if coming back to Diani Beach, I'm not looking further and coming back to Lions Home for sure.

For this price an unbeatable Villa. Excellent location, just a 3 minute walk from the beach and you enter the beach at 1 of the best spots with a great beachbar with good food and drinks and lots of activities to plan. If you walk out the door next to you you can get water and soda's and other small things. 2 supermarkets and other stores within 15 minutes of driving. Plenty of good restaurants within minutes driving. The Villa was very nice and all the appliances were like new, and you find everything you need in the kitchen to make your breakfast or dinner. Great big new smart TV. Nice and comfortable couch. And for me the best feature was the great swimming pool, really nice sized and 2 nice spots to sit, 1 at the deep end and 1 at the shallow end. The nice and green garden provides plenty of shade thanks to the coconut palm trees. And in the morning you can get a visit from a monkey on the fence wall.

Beautiful buildings, furnishings, and a very nice pool. And all of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
