Very spacious room, clean and with a beautiful pool area. The rooms were very clean, the host was very attentive and the breakfast super delicious. They even accomodated for early breakfasts before our dives. It is a short walk to the beach or you can take a cheap tuktuk back and forth. There were moscito nets for all the beds. Absolutely loved our stay.

We were so fortunate to be able to spend a few nights at Dario’s pool cottage! Photos do not show how gorgeous this home is. The beds are comfy, there are modern AC units in the bedrooms and the pool and outside sitting areas are private and luxurious. We couldn’t believe our luck in finding this place. It is a quick Tuktuk ride to most amenities and just around the corner from the cave restaurant (also a short walk from the Stilts Treehouses where they feed bush babies at the pub every evening). Dario was a wonderful host and Faith ensured we had everything we needed, including booking excursions and transportation from Mombasa. Stay here!!

The location is perfect even though not a beach-front. It is quiet and safe with a nice parking. Accessing the property requires a little bit more effort because it is off the main road requiring using a small acccess-earth-road.

The yard was very nice, we didn't use the pool, because it has no filters, but they were cleaning in the morning.

This was such an amazing stay!
First of all, our apartment was nice, clean, comfortable and overall great for a few nights near the beach (not more than 5 mins on foot with a brisk pace). The setup of the villas is in a beautiful private garden located in a silent guarded compound and felt very safe and tranquil.
Most importantly though, Hans, the host, was simply amazing and really dedicated to making his guests happy and satisfied with the stay. Hans was somehow always there when we needed anything or wanted to ask some questions but he was also completely unintrusive of our privacy - whenever we felt like being alone, we've had complete privacy like in a quality hotel room.
From the moment of our arrival, we felt exceptionally welcomed in Lions Home and spent some pleasant time chatting with Hans in the evenings after enjoying the beach area around (while Hans supplied the local beer in a chilled glass from his fridge). Anything we needed to know about the area, Hans was able to advise. I travel a lot and can say that such a great host is really a gem, one in a million.
We also fell in love with Hans's cute and friendly dogs - Hans first assured whether we're comfortable with dogs around and as we were, we've had pretty much unlimited access to cuddling those lovely little creatures.
The breakfasts were also delicious!
Overall, this stay was a highlight of our travels around East Africa and if coming back to Diani Beach, I'm not looking further and coming back to Lions Home for sure.

The House itself was wonderful, the AC in the bedrooms kept everything nice and cool, despite the hot weather outside. The pool is amazing, and it is cleaned daily. It's a quick walk down the road to the private beach entrance. If you go, Chef Cynthia is absolutely amazing, and my entire family of picky eaters was completely satisfied!

Super comfortable, clean and very well equipped accommodation in a beautiful villa, everything is like in the pictures. Hilda was a super nice host and always prepared a very delicious breakfast. The location is perfect, quiet but still close to the beachfront, with a private pool surrounded by a beautiful garden. They are also happy to provide information about scuba diving, local programs and restaurants. Hilda’s homestay was very unique and quiet, totally recommended instead of a hotel.

The place is a small paradise. You walk into what looks like a small park with monkeys swinging all around you, just to arrive at the cutest cottages ever! The cottages are small but very clean. The place looks amazing! It is located in an incredibly calm area, 10 min walk from the main road and beach. The place has basically a ‘private’ pool which you can enjoy because there is only one or 2 other studios in the property. The apartments/studios are very spacy with kitchen and private large bathroom included, and very clean. The host is really kind and was always happy to help when needed. Very good quality for a very reasonable price!
