This was hands down the best house I stayed in the 3 months I solo travelled Japan.
The house is gorgeous and has everything you need. The location is not close from the trailhead of the Kumano Kodo but Shino (the owner) organized a free pick up to get me there the morning after. Also the fact that this house is immersed in the countryside made it such a special and unique stay!
Words can't describe how incredible Shino is as a host AND as a person! Such a special one, who completely dedicates her soul to her job. The day I stayed in her house it was my birthday and the moment I told her she organized beautiful activities to make my day a special one. And she definitely made it!

It's a really quiet and friendly guest house, I would book it again anytime! Everything was very clean, spacious and comfortable. I got there really good advice before Kumano Kodo.
I arrived late in the evening by train and I was happy that the guesthouse is so close to the train station. The host was very friendly. Everything was very clean and I slept like a baby because it's a very quiet place.
Everything was wonderful. It was raining, and the owner was waiting for us. Once upstairs, she handed us a small towel to dry our faces and coat-hanger for our wet jackets.
It was a very clean, quiet place and close to the train and bus stations.
The beds were very comfortable and room spacious.
It was the small things that made this place special. We would absolutely recommend it. Thank you!
The host was very welcoming and helpful. If you have a chance to do the dinner option 💯 do it. It was so tasty and a wonderful experience. Very clean and comfortable.
- Great location just a short walk from the trail head for the Kumano Kodo
- Hiroki & Naoko were excellent hosts. Very attentive and helpful. They served a delicious dinner and a great packed lunch for the walk. Hiroki also drove us to the trail head the next morning.
- The room and facilities were all very clean and well kept.
