This was our favorite stay during our three week vacation to Japan. Masako-san and her husband went above and beyond to accommodate us. Prior to arriving, we asked Masako to help us reserve a restaurant for our first dinner. They found a lovely Izakaya very close to the house. When we arrived, we were me at the port and were driven back to the house in their spacious van. The house was lovely. It was such a pleasure to stay in a Japanese home. There were plenty of snacks and foods stocked in the kitchen. We loved taking ofuro and hanging out in the Kotatsu after a long day of sightseeing. The house had four electric bikes that were made available for us to use. Since there was five of us, the host even took us to rent another bike. Since there aren't many breakfast options, Masako delivered us onigiri on both mornings. On the day of our departure, they picked us up early in the morning and took us across the island to catch the ferry at the other port since it runs more frequently. We can't thank them enough for their generosity. They are the epitome of gracious hosts. I hope that our travels will take us back to Naoshima. We would definitely stay in their home again!

It was a charming property. We loved the ambiance of the Japanese ryokan with excellent proximity to the port and bikes can easily be stored on the property. The management was friendly and everything seemed easy to navigate in the home with English labels. Thank you for this amazing experience of comfort and culture. Highly recommend this property.

It was spacious and very well equipped. The washer and dryer were welcome. The owner was extremely nice and helpful. He picked us up at the ferry and transported us there the morning of our departure.

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay at the Wright Style Annex. From the outside, it looks like a white box and we weren’t expecting much. To our surprise our room was fabulous. Spacious, simple, refined quality. The two double beds pushed together were probably the most comfortable beds we have slept in.
Pleasant and helpful staff. Breakfast and dinner at the attached Italian restaurant Regalo were excellent. Ideally located a short walk from the bus stop.
As a note for Naoshima. I wouldn’t bother with hiring a bike, just use the local bus to visit attractions. In fact you can’t cycle to the top attractions, the Benesse art area, you must leave your bikes outside the area and walk or catch the free shuttle bus.

This was a lovely house in a fabulous area. Lovely and warm and cozy in winter. Very close to the art house projects and a great coffee shop. Lovely and quiet too.

Great for families or large parties, vacation homes are privately owned accommodations, available for long or short-term rental. These homes are furnished and equipped with kitchen facilities, though breakfast might be offered as an add-on. These properties have their own independent front door, which makes them different than apartments.
Very convenient if you are traveling from/to Naoshima. Cheaper than the options in the island and the 20-minute ferry to get there is only 300 yen. The port is walking distance from the hostel. Very clean, towel provided, comfortable, excellent staff.
Fun bicycle themed hotel with 'keirin' bike races you can view from the room. The hotel is very clean and well equipped. The rooms are compact but perfect for a solo traveller and at a reasonable price point, probably also manageable for a couple but I was solo at the time. If you are coming from or going to Naoshima this serves as a good rest-stop. You get one 1000yen taxi refunded on the way to the property, so don't worry about the distance from the station.
The guest house is in a fascinating old house, well renovated. It is very clean and equipped with everything a traveller could need. Staff are really helpful and dinner is highly recommended.
Great, friendly and informative staff! Excellent coffee and breakfast bagel. Tiny room but very clean and comfortable. Literally across the road from the ferry to Naoshima. Definitely recommend to others as a good place to stay.
Really good value for money. The rooms were small, but very clean and equipped with everything you need. There was a coin laundry at the premises, a self-service fridge with beverages, the beds were comfy and we had a parking space for our car. The location was in walking distance to the ferry port and many nice restaurants.
Close to ferry for Naoshima Island and galleries. Very clean and staff really helpful and friendly. Cafe breakfast bagel was delicious with really good coffee.
