Mako land is a peaceful, cosy, calm and serene sanctuary. The house is full of whimsy and character - great collection of memories and antiques. A truly unique experience and one not to be missed. We loved the warm and homely feel. The under floor heating was divine especially when it was cold. The house was big enough to give everyone a little bit of space. Beds and futon were comfy. All amenities provided but I would suggest bringing your own body wash. Hiroshi and his wife were welcoming, so hospitable and happy to assist.
We had a hire car so travelling from the house outbound was easy. We did not use public transport. Sell drive would be my preferred way to get around Toyama. The house is close to convenience stores and restaurants.

Large traditional room with Koi carp pond outside the window. Very clean shared WC and Onsen facilities. Japanese breakfast served in private dining room was very carefully prepared. The kind owner accommodated our need to leave very early on last day.
