Due to super heavy rain, we needed to change our plan of next spot. The host sent us several suggestions even we have already left!
Dinner portion is more than enough. A really tasteful and satisfying dinner!
And the house itself is perfect for family especially having kids. Lots of space for kids burning their energy!

We really enjoyed our time at Garden Villa Minamiaso.
It is a house with 2 floors and it is really big. From the second floor you can see the volcano Aso(if the weather is good and there is no rain). The house is very warm, because they have a lot of conditioners(~4).
Kitchen has a lot of items for cooking, but we were so lazy and did not cook at all.
The landlord gave us information about the places near the house(shops, thermal water, restaurants, etc.). Also he was so kind to drive us to the Sakura garden (his favorite spot) and the temple near.
We really appreciate this, because we didn’t have a car. Thank you so much.

An quiet spacious country house on the forest edge with lovely views of Mt Aso. Driving & check in instructions were clear and easy (indeed Google Maps cannot be followed). Appreciated the bag of rice from the hosts as well as various information such as the nearby hike. There are only two Western single beds, more travelers will have to enjoy the futon instead.
Great for families or large parties, holiday homes are privately owned accommodation, available for long or short-term rental. These homes are furnished and equipped with kitchen facilities for self-catering, although breakfast may be offered as an add-on. These properties have their own independent front door, which makes them different to apartments.
Stefano is very friendly and accommodating. He made us fresh bread and jam. It’s really good!
Room is very clean and well equipped with towels, toiletries even toothbrushes. I also like that there is plenty of hangers and space to hang clothes. Space for luggage too. Fridge, kettle and coffee machine available for use. Free parking too! Convenient to visit Mt Aso and Takachiho Gorge from here.
The host was incredible, helped us plan our day. The hostel gives a really lovely rustic feeling. The indoor onsen is a delight, and everything is very clean.
The location is within a few mins of drive to nearby local amenities where there are super markets and eateries.
We were surprised to meet the owner, an Italian living in Japan for many years, a very jovial guy and speak fluent English. He recommended a few beautiful places to visit and we really enjoyed the visit.
The house is very clean. As there was only my family staying during the period and the owner open the room next door to give us more space!
Host was amazing, very hospitable and helpful.
