Spacious, clean and thoughtfully appointed. Quality mattresses and bedding. Comfortable seating. Projector with Amazon Firestick and quality speakers. Double basin in the bathroom. Good water pressure. 2 bedrooms upstairs, sleeps 6 adults. 1 bedroom downstairs, sleeps 2 adults. The owners are very thoughtful. They've stuck photos showing the contents of kitchen drawers on the outside of each drawer. They have provided torches in most rooms, plus remote control lights. Some toiletries are provided. The owners have even created a tatami room at the back with lots of different kimono to try on and a drawer full of building blocks for the kids. Cheap parking a 3 minute walk away (was 700 yen for 24 hours in Oct '24). Parking tends to fill up by 5pm.
Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated 滔々 阿知の庄 蔵の宿 toutou Achinosho Kura no Yado features accommodation with a garden and free WiFi.

This renovated house was beautiful and in a great location to explore the sites of the city. It was super clean with everything our family of five needed. The hosts provided a delicious platter of fresh fruit, breads and spreads. The bathroom and laundry facilities were fab. The second bedroom, located upstairs, easily accommodated my three children. They enjoyed putting together their beds on the tatami mats. The futon style beds, while firm, were quite comfortable. The kitchen facilities included everything needed to put together meals for a short stay. Can't rave enough about how lovely the home is. We arranged with the staff to drop our luggage off at 'tou tou gallery' and they transported our luggage to the accommodation for a small fee (around $11). This was super handy. It's about a 7-10 minute walk to the station, which we didn't have any issue with.
Great for families or large parties, holiday homes are privately owned accommodation, available for long or short-term rental. These homes are furnished and equipped with kitchen facilities for self-catering, although breakfast may be offered as an add-on. These properties have their own independent front door, which makes them different to apartments.
