Everything! The best aspect of the trip was the wonderful experience of staying in Masako Bandai's lovely house and experiencing her extraordinary hospitality. She is the kindest, most generous person we have met in Japan.
We really loved walking around Naoshima island and visiting so many extraordinary galleries and museums. We were perfectly positioned in our accommodation to explore the Art House Project in particular, with some galleries only minutes walk away. Our wonderful hosts collected us from the ferry and returned us there on departure and also offered to bring us to various places of interest.

It could accommodate up to 7 people, a bit too spacious for just two of us, would be great for a large family or group of friends.
The host is very friendly and accommodating, on the day of our arrival, he drove us back to town to rent bikes which’s a convenient way to get around the island. And on our day of departure, he left us leave our luggage at the property while we could visit the museums freely, and delivered our luggage to the port before our ferry departure.

Very clean basic stay on a beautiful island. Everything we needed was in the apartment. Washing machine was a bonus. Busstop next door. In the Village are no shops so you need to do some planning for breakfast. Two very good restaurants close by. Bikes available with the apartment.
Host was extremely helpful and allowed us to check in early. She also recommended and booked restaurants. It was a great location, local to the port and good restaurants. Although shared accommodation it was very quiet. Bathroom and showers were very clean. Would definitely recommend.
Very clean. Beautiful view of the ocean from the rooftop of the apartment. Lovely tea left for us to enjoy. Thoughtful touch of providing breakfast and coffee in the morning if we wanted it.
Lovely traditional house, very clean and beautifully renovated. The location among the trees is beautiful and quiet. There is a fully equipped kitchen and you can rent a bike for a day. The room was spacious and we slept exceptionally well. The host was very helpful and hospitable.
Less than 5 min walk away from the Miyanoura Port, which is great after a long day of travelling to Naoshima island. It feels like a cosy cabin, and it looks really new and it's very clean. Basic amenities are all provided. I liked the little library right outside our room, it's a nice space to chill.
The accomodation was very clean, well set up and in a great location just metres from the beach. It was situated in beautiful gardens and our hosts picked us up and dropped us off to the port. We highly recommend staying here.
