Lovely house which looks even nicer than he pictures with a lovely garden in front which in summer are full of flowering potted plants. The free car parking lot is right in front of the house.
Inside was very roomy and nicely furnished, just like home.
The kitchen was well equipped for cooking with microwave, toaster and stove with all the cutlery and crockery you need.
There was a sitting room, a separate sitting area looking into the front garden and 2 tatami rooms which can sleep 4 people very comfortably.
Toilet and separate bath / shower room.
Location is a bit far from the main town area but has a nice residential feel. There is also a beach right across the road which is popular with surfers.
The owners were kind and helpful. The recommended restaurant for a simple dinner nearby (Mogu-Mogu) was exceptionally good value.
Highly recommend this place for families and anyone who likes to feel at home whilst on holiday.

Traditional Japanese style apartment. I really like pulling out the mattress and sleep on the floor, I slept very well in this room. The host is very responsive when we had questions about the parking and how to lock the door. The kitichen is equipped with all the utensils you need to make tee and stuff. It is very value for money.

Yoko had put sò much effort into making our stay enjoyable.
The kitchen was well stocked with cooking essentials.
There was a well thought out folder containing information on everything , from restaurants in the area to how to use the washing machine.

Great for families or large parties, holiday homes are privately owned accommodation, available for long or short-term rental. These homes are furnished and equipped with kitchen facilities for self-catering, although breakfast may be offered as an add-on. These properties have their own independent front door, which makes them different to apartments.
This room is very clean, fully equipped, and has air conditioning, which is a great bonus. Everything is very traditional and comfortable. The landlord is very nice, speaks English, has convenient transportation, and is only a short walk from the station. This is a beautiful town, everything is so impressive, traditional Japanese, like movies from the 80s and 90s. If I come back next time, I will still live here
The room was beautiful, with nice views tu the harbour and the fish market. The futon was quite comfortable, the bath was very clean and spacious. It is very conveniently located close to the harbour, the station and a conbini. It has also a common shared kitchen and a washing machine.
Right in front of the Kii Katsuura train station, very convenient. Comfortable beds, the place is always very clean. The best wifi in Japan that I've ever used, excellent speed. The staff (unfortunately I forgot her name) is extremely friendly and helped me a lot with several questions and recommended several things to do in the city, including the restaurant with the best sashimi and miso soup I've ever had in my life.
Beautiful resort at the edge of town which makes it very quiet. Very clean and almost everyone of the staff was friendly.
The onsen was easy enough to understand for non-japanese speaking guests (do read the general social rules on the internet for onsen please).
I did not make use of the restaurant so I cannot judge.
The bed was good and the thick curtains made sure it stayed very dark in the room.
We enjoyed our one night stay after the kumano kodo hike. Great location right next to the train station and 5 min walk to the harbor (tuna auction). It was very clean and has all the amenities you need. Spacious room and shared bathroom with 1 other room. Easy self check-in. We used the luggage delivery service Yamato and it worked out great. The owner was very friendly and responsive to messages. He also owns a restaurant on the other side of the train station, which I can highly recommend!
Everything was great at this small inn. My son and I visited Nachi Shrine and waterfall by train and bus. The hotel was very conveniently located for public transports, and also other main attractions. The hotel staff was extremely kind and helpful. We liked the tatami mats in the room and slept very well. Very clean and well maintained. We highly recommend.
The room was very clean and neat, also bathroom and common spaces, all very cozy and warm at winter. Simple check in and check out. 1 minute from the train station and 5 minutes from the sea.
