The area is beautiful and we had plans to do all sorts of things in the surrounding area, however, that particular day we got rained in. We've been traveling for over a week, so at this point we decided to just stay in and enjoy the cabin. It was wonderful! It was very comfortable, I sat out on the patio and my wife cuddled up on the couch. The lush green surrounding area along with a rain made a very comfortable rainy day at Lake Toya.

Cozy house in an excellent location. We could catch snippets of the fireworks on display from the house. Wish there could be a dryer; racks were not sufficient to dry out our laundry. But not a big deal. We had a wonderful time savoring delicious food from nearby. Absolutely happy with our stay at Kamonoya.

The cabin is exactly what described, very clean, equipped with everything we need. stunning view, comfortable bed. Our family got a good time here. The host was very nice, they were with us during chk in time to explain how to use the equipment. Love how tucked away this place is. The interior feels very cosy. Love the wooden interior, the huge beanbag, and the TV has netflix subscription so that's a huge plus. This is our first stay in Japan where we actually spent our time relaxing in the living room watching TV after a long day out. We can imagine how extra cosy it will be staying in during winter.
If we could do it differently the next time, we would certainly stay longer here. The drive out from the cabin to Lake Toya and other places is scenic.

Very clean rooms and shared space. The shared showers and bathrooms are modern and allow for privacy - we didn't feel like being in a hostel at all. AC was available and working well - very necessary in the hot summer months.
A very decent staying place with most of the thing you need. Having some difficulties activate the heater at first but found out eventually. Nice staying and very clean
