It's was snowing and the host picked us up at the train station. Super introduction to Hida. Very warm welcome.

Absolutely beautiful interior and exterior. It was so cosy yet so elegant. The outdoor onsen was so lovely.
The facilities were AMAZING, every single thing you could ever need was already thought of and prepared for you already.
The location was absolutely perfect aswell, basically in the centre of town but on a lovely quiet street.
The host was so wonderful and helpful and because of her suggestions we went to a really great izakaya with some of the best izakaya food I’ve tried in such a long time!
I woke up to a beautiful snowy view outside the window of the western style bedroom I felt emotional! (Image attached)

Everything! Very very happy that we get the chance to stay at the authentic Japanese home! Very home like. Everything is so traditional. Cosy and comfortable. Is up the hill with beautiful trees outside the house. We love the onsen tub too. Toilet and shower room are clean.
It’s good to have a car to drive around. Is not near city centre, not walkable.

It's a jaw-dropping place. Seriously, we were regretting for getting this place ONLY for one night. The house itself was beautiful inside and outside. The location and also the landscape you could see through the window... it was an unforgettable experience.
It's a little remote from Takayama itself, but we were travelling without a car and we were able to get here from town center by bus in 20 minutes and a short walk.

Gorgeous place, really big and beautifully designed. Despite being next door to the train station it was much quieter than expected. It was a bit further down the street than the Google map location, on the corner of the block but it was a perfect. Highly recommended with super helpful owners.

A great and clean House at the railroads. In short walking distance to the old town. You have to like the location along the railroad, but for us it was fine. Good communication with the owner

Our stay was absolutely unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and care. The reception area, where we met our wonderful host, was stunning, setting the tone for our experience. We were greeted with tea and snacks, which was such a thoughtful touch.
The hospitality continued as we were kindly driven to our house, which surpassed all our expectations. It was the quintessential traditional Japanese experience, blending authenticity with comfort. Every detail was perfect—from the delicious breakfast delivered to our door each morning to the serene outdoor tub, the plush and cozy beds, and the exquisite Japanese décor. The location was ideal, making it easy to explore the area.
We can’t wait to return and relive this magical experience. Thank you for making our stay so memorable!
