An quiet spacious country house on the forest edge with lovely views of Mt Aso. Driving & check in instructions were clear and easy (indeed Google Maps cannot be followed). Appreciated the bag of rice from the hosts as well as various information such as the nearby hike. There are only two Western single beds, more travelers will have to enjoy the futon instead.

The hotel room was very clean, comfortable, quiet, and had free guest parking. There was a lovely communal area with lounges, kitchenette, and a big table if you had bought food to eat. It was also very close to the train station and the visitor information centre.
Loved the location. The host was very kind, with many kind gifts and attentions for the guests. We loved the discounted tickets for the Onsen closeby and all the advices on what to do on a rainy day on Aso.
Everything is very clean.
