This place is something else! Tranquil paradise in Umbria with lovely views. Traditional but modern interior which includes some furniture pieces hand made by the host Alessandro who has been wonderful with us. Breathtaking views combined with authentic and traditional Umbrian interior.
I'm a frequent traveller who loves to explore beautiful natural places that give me access to great locations. I chose La Malcontenta e il Lupo chose because it had everything I was looking for and more. It is part of an agritourism, which means it's a sustainable type of travelling, in contact with nature, that's good for the environment and supports local businesses.
I'm environmentally conscious and love animals, so I was excited to find out there is a bird viewing hut, which was fantastic to see the little birds without disturbing them.
The hosts were very warm and charming and answered all my questions on the surrounding areas.
The interior of the Villa is designed in a traditional style that evokes a strong sense of what it was like to be in Umbria back in time. It is also equipped with all the amenities I needed.
I highly recommend, I know I will definitely be returning again with my family for a peaceful getaway. The villa is located near the Tibet River Park, the ancient medieval town of Todi, and the gorgeous, picturesque town of Orvieto.
I had a car, but I also know I can get a bus from Todi to places like Perugia or Rome.

Everything was incredible, we loved our stay a lot! The house is very cozy, clean and decorated with much love, you have everything you need and even more (there was coffee, tea, and even brioches for breakfast when we arrived!). The location is splendid: so calm and peaceful, we wish we could stay longer! And last but not least, the hosts were the warmest and loveliest, a beautiful family who will show you what the true Italian hospitality looks like. We would love to go back again and stay longer!

The property is nestled in the heart of Umbria, perched on a hill with breathtaking views. Despite the summer heat (around 38°C), we could comfortably spend time on the terrace until 1:00 PM and again in the evening. We enjoyed unforgettable moments watching the sunset and the star-filled sky. The proximity to the pool and the ability to use it at any time was a huge plus. The apartment is styled in true Italian fashion, with every detail reflecting the essence of Umbria—wooden furniture, a fireplace, brick flooring, terracotta pots, and Deruta ceramics. Beautiful and spotless.
The place is very peaceful and intimate, perfect for a relaxing getaway.
The owners were very kind and helpful. We received plenty of information about local products and attractions, and every question we had was answered promptly.

Thomas and Elizabeth were so welcoming and offered great local expertise. They were a lovely couple who were always smiling and were very amicable.
The property was within walking distance of Todi and the stay itself had a beautiful setting. It was very clean and tidy too.
I would recommend this property to anyone. The food was sensational too! Tomas and Elizabeth are maestros in the kitchen.
Very clean, central spacious apartment.
Only problems we had was that there were lots of stairs up to the apartment so not suitable for people with any kind of mobility issues. It may have been an oversite on my part but I wasnt aware there were a lot as my mother really struggled. Also, there were no bowls or a toaster which would have been handy. Other than that the hosts and property were lovely.
Gorgeous interiors very accurately restored. Very clean and beautiful room. Breathtaking terrace! The owner Chiana is very nice and helpful lady, provided us with all the information about the places of interest and ordered for us a great restaurant.
It had everything I needed and it was very clean. It was quite comfy and spacious, and the location was excellent, roughly 4 minutes walking from the theatre. It even had a Play Station 4 😂
Charming and evocative, the monastery is well maintained. Simple the room, as expected, due to the nature of the building original destination but very clean. Very nice and polite the staff. The healthy and genuine breakfast served in the refectory is recommended. Easy parking is really a plus in Todi.
