An easy walk up the hill to explore Guardiagrele, which was a lovely surprise as it’s unspoiled Medieval hill town with a lively atmosphere, a good range of sensible shops like ironmongers, bakers, butchers, antique shops, art galleries (drawing of Stonehenge!) cheese and salami and general food, and very friendly people – especially if you have a dog!
