Great for families or large parties, holiday homes are privately owned accommodation, available for long or short-term rental. These homes are furnished and equipped with kitchen facilities for self-catering, although breakfast may be offered as an add-on. These properties have their own independent front door, which makes them different to apartments.
The owner picked us up at the harbour and, after a very warm welcome and little tour of the town, took us to our apartment, which was cosy and very clean, and provided with all the cooking equipment one might need. Location was great, with a bakery literally next door. Everything was pleasant and comfortable, and our host always super easy to reach!
We loved the time spent here. If you have strong feet (because the house has three levels...) and you can survive with a ceiling ventilator instead of air conditioner in summer days, then this is the ideal holiday house! The children loved it from the first sight because it looks like a ship. This house has a soul if its own and we enjoyed every evening on the terrace, admiring sunset and stars. Marettimo is a small and lovely village with wild beaches and wonderfull mountain trails. We'll definitely come here again!
The apartment was very clean and stocked with towels, some toiletries and cooking essentials (like oil, salt, coffee, etc.). The host was friendly and responsive to our needs.
