Great stop near Kirkjubæjarklaustur on the way to the glacier lagoon and diamond beach. On our second night we were in the orange zone for weather with a wind warning, you could feel how bad the wind gusts were but inside was still nice and cozy… actually had to turn down the heat in the bedrooms as it was too hot to sleep comfortably.

It is the perfect tiny cottage for solo travelers, couples or for small family of 3 who likes nature and to get away from all the chaos from the city. Cottage included everything even a little dish washer and a conventional oven. Loved how small but it had everything you need. Also it was very easy to get there and check in even in the winter and after getting dark outside. They even plowed the snow out right upto the door step early in the morning so we could easily drive in thick snow. The host was really sweet to leave us some chocolate wafers which I loved and now I am taking a whole bunch back home for sure. :) The best part is we were extremely lucky to see Aurora/ Northern Lights show on our first night itself in the cottage.

Great location for seeing the many sites of the area.. Very easy check-in and the house was very comfortable. The owners were very responsive to questions.
Great for families or large parties, vacation homes are privately owned accommodations, available for long or short-term rental. These homes are furnished and equipped with kitchen facilities, though breakfast might be offered as an add-on. These properties have their own independent front door, which makes them different than apartments.
Everything was as in pictures and description. Very clean, nice and comfortable place to stay. Check-in & check-out was very smooth. Host was very proactive and gave timely/useful instructions. Recommended to stay here and for sure will stay again next time.

Our cottage was quite big, with two separate rooms and a room in the attic - which was open/no doors. Besides that there was a common area with a small couch and table and a small kitchen with a dining table. We were traveling 5 people, so it was actually OK, but for more - it would be a little bit tight. There was also a great tarrace area, which we couldn't use due to the weather, but I can imagine it is great to sit there and eat outside. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed our stay very much. Very clean and tidy.
The room and communal area are very clean, bright and easy to use. The staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was readily available and the food at breakfast was good. Beds were clean and comfortable. Overall it exceeded my expectations.
Great spot near "Cloister" and close to Mountain Biking at the Mountain Bike Farm. Great room, very, very clean and comfortable and what a peaceful sleep with the cool mountain air, Kitchen and shared spaces were awesome.
Staff are very friendly. There are 2 communal hot tubs u can use. I stayed in the guesthouse which has a couple of communal areas for cooking and sitting around. I paid 88 euro for a room. It is small and only suitable for a single person. It is well worth a stay. Very clean and warm.
