My friends and I had a lovely weekend at the wonderful Hopesgate Cottage. Chris met us on arrival and had the wood burner running so the cottage was extremely cosy. He gave us a rundown of all the important information for our stay and provided us with local taxi options. The cottage itself is gorgeous! It's been superbly restored with under floor heating and lots of beautiful furnishings, making it feel very homely. It is clean and very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen for cooking. Overall a fabulous little spot!

Everything was great, including the breakfast. Rooms were attractive, very comfortable and very clean! There was a lovely garden in back to walk through. I would say all aspects of our stay there met or exceeded our expectations. Would definitely stay there again!

We had a really lovely stay, we received a free upgrade to a suite as it was our anniversary and it is such a lovely room. The afternoon tea was amazing and really good value for money. Dinner was also really nice and very reasonable. Overall the food was lovely, room and hotel was very clean but the nicest part of our stay was the staff, so attentive and really friendly, from the receptionist to the servers to the cleaners they were all so nice and a credit you the hotel.
