Favour Royal Cottage - dog friendly forest escape, hotel in Augher

Offering a garden and garden view, Favour Royal Cottage - dog friendly forest escape is situated in Derrygorry, 25 km from The Garage Theatre and 27 km from Monaghan Valley Pitch & Putt Club.

The cottage is beautifully renovated and has an incredible atmosphere throughout. All the little touches add to the experience- from the quirky pictures on the walls, to the gorgeous cookware and even an Alison Roman cookbook. The kitchen is just dreamy! We stayed during the Christmas period, and the decorations were lovely to add to the festive spirit of our girls weekend away. It was all so cosy! Our dogs enjoyed a good run around the garden too and the forest on your doorstep was such a treat!

Willow Valley, hotel in Monaghan

Willow Valley, a property with a shared lounge, is set in Monaghan, 30 km from Louth County Museum, 31 km from Maudabawn Cultural Centre, as well as 33 km from Proleek Dolmen.

A really lovely host, great communication and a beautiful property- the photos really don’t do it justice. We had a great weekend here with tons of room, and appreciated little extra touches as a welcome pack and toiletries already in place. Young adults really enjoyed the pool room! You do need a car as 45 min walk into town and Castleblayney was such a beautiful and welcoming town. Can’t recommend highly enough - many thanks Gary and family

We were attending a wedding & the setting was amazing. The castle inside and out is beautiful. The grounds are very nice especially the lake. The interior is quirky with beautiful fixtures & fittings. The staff were very attentive & helpful . We stayed in The Lodge & our room was sumptuous & very clean. The bed was super comfy & the shower was great. We had full breakfast in Snaffles restaurant which was very nice with proper tea.
