The location could not have been better, so much to do in the area. Being close to the hotel and leisure centre were an added bonus. The food in the hotel is excellent.

I loved the setting of the cottage in a woodland, very quiet and peaceful. I especially liked being off grid with no wifi, found that to be very restful. The cottage was old world and quaint. Beds very comfortable. Hans and Martina were very friendly, they kindly allowed us access when we arrived a few hours early.
Great for families or large parties, holiday homes are privately owned accommodation, available for long or short-term rental. These homes are furnished and equipped with kitchen facilities for self-catering, although breakfast may be offered as an add-on. These properties have their own independent front door, which makes them different to apartments.
Very clean and comfortable room, with a lovely big bathroom with a great shower. Plenty of instant hot water, much needed after a day on the sea! Breakfast was included, though we opted for Grá Linn cafe across the street for brunch instead. There are a couple of great pubs in the village, within 2 minutes walk, so it's a great spot to rest your head after a long walk and a few pints!
I can't recommend Thistledown Lodge enough. Martin & Enda made us feel welcome from the first minute on. The lodge is very stylish. Our room was very clean, well equipped, comfortable & quiet. The cooked vegetarian breakfast was excellent - it's always a plus if there are vegan/vegetarian options apart from muesli&yogurt.
The place also has a very spacious outdoor-gym and a cosy sitting-area to enjoy drink or two. :)

This is a very nice location on our tour around the soutern half of Ireland. The hosts are very friendly, caring and it is always a good feeling to have a warm and honest welcome. The room we had as wll as the whole house was in every detail with style, very clean and comfortable. Certainly a place we would fully recommend with plenty of options to do in the vicinity.
We spent one night in one of their 3 bed holiday homes, it was very comfortable and in a brilliant location. Great playground, fish and chip shop and pubs nearby, and a fantastic little beach at Baginbun. Lots to see and do nearby. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful!
