The host provided all the information needed for our stay, even providing a welcome basket with some treats which was unexpected. The house was easy to access with the information provided, as well as exceptionally clean. There was a booklet providing all contact details required if there was an emergency of any kind. My family had a wonderful time at the house. I would definitely recommend staying here and will come back if we are a big group again.

There were scones, butter, jam and fresh milk left in the cabin on arrival which was a very nice touch. The views from the cabin were lovely. It is a very peaceful place.

Everything. The location was super. Close to the village of Durrus - shop, restaurant, few pubs. Tillys cottage is very comfortable with all essentials and much more. A hamper of food on the table provided a very warm welcome after a long journey. Fresh soda bread, milk, salmon and lots of treats awaited us.... exceptional stay.

It was accommodation only but there was plenty tea, coffee milk sugar, etc for our requirements, plus plenty toiletries to tide us over, which meant less faff at the airport as no liquids to check. It was warm, dry and cosy despite the Baltic weather at the time. Very quiet and idyllic and you are left alone to do your own thing but help was there if required. Beautiful part of the country and an ideal place to decompress but only a few minutes drive to Schull or Ballydehob.

This is a home that looks like an old cottage but inside it is state of the art comfort. One of the nicest features is the open plan sliding door leading from the living room to a south-west facing patio that looks over a wild meadow. It is so peaceful and blessed with beautiful sunsets. A real wow moment is at night with the lights off if you step into the hall the north facing floor to ceiling window forms a picture of the night sky with Ursa major - the big bear constellation perfectly framed - its a magical sight ! It was also great to be able to walk to the local beach to swim and to pubs and restaurants in the local village.
Great for families or large parties, holiday homes are privately owned accommodation, available for long or short-term rental. These homes are furnished and equipped with kitchen facilities for self-catering, although breakfast may be offered as an add-on. These properties have their own independent front door, which makes them different to apartments.
Dunmanus View was well located in order to tour the locale on bikes. I liked the quiet and private location with stunning views. Loved the wildflowers. We didn’t bring our dog but know now that the house would’ve been secure and safe for a dog. We were very lucky with the sunny weather. It’s a very comfortable well stocked holiday home.
Frances is a wonderful host. Thank you very much for the big welcome basket! Very clean and comfortable, spacious, beautiful and quiet location. You can take many nice trips from there (Mizen Peninsula, Sheeps Head, Garinish Island, Clonakilty, Ring of Beara, ...).
