The owners were friendly and extremely helpful, and gave us exactly the sort of information we wanted about local amenities and sights. They contacted me well before the reservation, and gave me a lowdown on the area, which I was able to keep in a file for when I arrived. We visited the Rathcrogan complex, as well as the National Famine Museum. They also let me know about a partial eclipse that was happening that night, which I got up for - the Kilcorkey Standing Stone is right next to them (in a private field, and therefore not fully accessible - but not far from a seating area in the Old Mill property), which was amazing to see up close during an eclipse. The bedrooms were perfect; it was myself and my mother, so we each had our own room. The shower was great, with excellent water pressure. The downstairs was a great landing spot for organizing our stuff, as well as providing for a spot to cook/make tea. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

The property is very cute-a nice mix of the traditional building but fitted to a modern standard. The house was super cosy and is only about a ten minute drive from the amenities of the town and is surrounded by farmland and local history. The host, Gerry, is super lovely and was very excited to share the history and legends of the surrounding areas.

The location is great, situated on a turn-off from the main N5 road, situated conveniently for Ballaghaderreen, Brusna, Swinford and Charlestown. Lots to do in the area. Keys were easy to pick up with details provided early on day of arrival. The booking is for a full house - kitchen, sitting room, bathroom and two bedrooms. Great value, and great for families. Appliances in kitchen are great. Kitchen has cups, glasses, cutlery and pots and pans. Great being able to make a home-made breakfast to start the day. Really enjoyed just reading my Kindle in the sitting room while my son played with the suitcase of toys he brought with him. He also really enjoyed looking at all the games the hosts kindly left for guests to use. Outdoor lights are well placed for going out to car at night. Good car parking. Surprised by the number of cars using the road, but it's by no means heavily used, and it was a very peaceful location. Beds were super comfy and my wife hasn't stopped talking about how soft the towels were! WiFi was superfast, there is indeed a washing machine, iron, hair drier and so on. Highly recommended
Great for families or large parties, vacation homes are privately owned accommodations, available for long or short-term rental. These homes are furnished and equipped with kitchen facilities, though breakfast might be offered as an add-on. These properties have their own independent front door, which makes them different than apartments.
We had a lovely cooked breakfast and David and Chloe were wonderful hosts, it was like a home away from home, very quiet at night, rooms nicely decorated, very clean and comfortable, good shower, lovely view from bedroom window. Would highly recommend.
This was a lovely B&B to stay in. Very friendly hosts, a lovely breakfast, a very clean room and bathroom and a comfortable bed. The location suited great. It's about 45 minutes from Sligo town so I booked this B&B as it was a lot cheaper than the hotels in Sligo and it broke up my journey on the way up to stop in here (I was coming up from Clare) and it gave me a head start on my journey home the next day. Would highly recommend!
