Beth is a great host, communication was excellent.The property was lovely, warm and cosy and decorated to a high standard, we could not fault anything. It was in a location close to where we wanted to be to visit relatives. The Christmas tree was a lovely unexpected surprise, thank you Beth, much appreciated. The accommodation is clean, everything you need is available to use,very quiet area. You can relax after a long trip and activities from Chatsworth House. Good communication with the host and check-in really smoothly.
Great for families or large parties, holiday homes are privately owned accommodation, available for long or short-term rental. We really enjoyed our overnight stay. Very clean & comfortable. Fresh eggs & newly baked bread laid out for our breakfast in our lovely well equipped kitchen with a great view of the garden. Very comfy bed & fab en-suite. After visiting friends for a long lunch we had a relaxing evening watching the Olympics. Would definitely come back, thank you
The bedroom and bathroom looked smart and both were very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel was quiet.
I find stairs difficult and when the receptionist heard that she moved us to a ground floor room. I would say the room was great value for the money and if we were ever that way again we would definitely choose to stay at the Lion Hotel again.
Unusual layout, up a flight of outside stairs, with a terrace that would be great in good weather, a separate kitchen & lounge area. Very clean. Bed very comfortable (& I'm a bad-backer, so not easily pleased). Private parking. Location great both for the town itself & nearby facilities, 5 mins drive to Clumber Park, with Sherwood Forest also nearby. It's above a restaurant but was surprisingly quiet in the room. Interesting, quaint building & excellent value for money.
