The house is very spacious and lovingly decorated. The downstairs living room and sleeping room with en-suite bathroom are bright, comfortable and relaxing and the upstairs rooms were the perfect getaway for the kids.
If you step out on the private terrace you might see some cows (certainly hear them), sheep, deers and rabbits.
On the other side, in front of the main house, we had a magnificent and breathtaking view of the Isle of Arran.
Great for families or large parties, holiday homes are privately owned accommodation, available for long or short-term rental. These homes are furnished and equipped with kitchen facilities for self-catering, although breakfast may be offered as an add-on. These properties have their own independent front door, which makes them different to apartments.
The experience was unique. Staying on a barge is unusual and the view was beautiful. The linen was very clean and the shower was lovely and big for the two of us.
We loved our stay at Anchor Hotel! Our room had a beautiful view over the habour. It was very clean, comfortable and the staff were very friendly. We could walk to dinner- a great place called Lullabelle’s on the foreshore. Short drive to Kennacraig ferry. Great breakfast too. Highly recommend!
Everything worked, very clean, great location, excellent tee and coffee facilities on the landing. Certainly good value for money, owner also friendly and helpful.

We stayed here the night before our early ferry to Islay. Reading the reviews, I was a bit dubious as to what we would find, but we were extremely pleasantly surprised. What a great room, and a fantastic view. We had room 2, which was very spacious, as was the bathroom, and had everything we needed. Overall very clean, though. Would definitely stay again.
