We visited Bampton for a wedding and me, my husband, young son and mother-in-law rented the property for the weekend and it was just perfect! The Barn is attached to the owners house and it has such lovely grounds with nice grass area to sit in the sun and a lovely running stream. The accommodation was spacious and clean and had everything we needed. We loved watching the chickens & geese with our young son.
We had some issues with our Land Rover (classic! haha) and the owner helped get it back up and running.
We highly recommend for a lovely Devon getaway :)

It was a night where you stepped back in time. The castle was beautiful and felt as old and atmospheric as it actually is in a 1000 Yr old castle.
Very friendly warm host too and lovely to look around the old Chapel and guard rooms. It was a surprise for my husbands 50th birthday and was a very special weekend well not forget.thank you
