We stayed in the Valley View home. We had a beautiful view over gorgeous open countryside. We loved the goats and chickens running about and it is in a very quiet location. The property has what you need - including a smart speaker, which went down well with the teenagers, and a coffee machine that uses pods (provided). Somerset is a very beautiful county, with lots of steep hills in the north and flat levels in the south. There is a lot to do - we went to SS Great Britain in Bristol and saw Clifton suspension bridge as well - plus city of Bath, the beach at Weston-super-Mare, Cheddar gorge and caves, RSPB Avalon marshes near Glastonbury, and the city of Wells. All highly recommended. We had a nice meal at Haynes and also the Hunters' Rest - both are walking distance - take a torch as the roads are narrow and unlit. The property has a little patio area and a BBQ for communal use. There is also a log burning stove inside. The bathroom has a bath and a separate shower cabin. It would be a great property for families with kids of all ages as well as a few friends or a couple. It has tiled floor through the main reception, bathroom, and kitchen areas. It was really spotlessly clean. My dad loved having a TV in the bedroom. It's nothing showy but Valley View worked well for us and I would stay again.

A lovely place nicely done very clean and quiet. I had the best nights sleep better that most hotels very comfy. It has all you need and not far from some nice places to eat like the Strode Arms.
In addition, please ignore the one bad review given. It is not true and misleading. This place is great and WiFi works well. Garden area also clean and nice.
The staff were very welcoming when we arrived and the ensuite room we had was very clean and had coffee and tea making facilities, along with biscuits.
The bathroom was very good and excellent towels along with shampoo and conditioner.
The bed was comfortable and we slept well.
We had a 1 night stay on our way to Cornwall. Lovely flat, very clean, photos do not do it justice.
Located above an old character pub. Food was excellent, with good vegetarian choices. Good selection of Ales. Pub beautifully decorated with charm & character. We travelled with our teenage son and a dog. Within short distance for walks and the village old tithe barn, which has been restored.
All in all, family & dog friendly, would highly recommend.
Very friendly hosts. Room comfortable and very well decorated. Bathroom very clean and well maintained with all the extras you could think of. Nice large bedroom and bathroom.
The bar/restaurant was very stylish. The toilet/ shower room was very clean. Good clean white towels. Clean bedding. Ample parking. Young woman morning staff was lovely.
The well inn was a lovely stay, the rooms where spotless. The bar and dinning area also very clean and modern. We where really impressed with the Food in the restaurant extremely good. We would definitely recommend well in. Thank you for lovely stay
My stay at the Oakhill was exceptional. My room was very clean, and the room had refreshments of good quality. I dined at the pub in the evening and my meal was very good as was breakfast. Good quality and well-cooked. There is a potential for traffic noise to disturb you as the hotel is adjacent to a road. My room (number 1) was further away from the main road and was fine for me. I would thoroughly recommend a stay here!
