Very comfortable, well set out and everything provided to enable a great self catering stay. The bike store was helpful as we were on our MTBs and also the outside sink/tap was great for washing down the gear! We took our own logs and fire kit (as we’re used to open fires) which made a massive difference and made it toasty and warm.

East-wing cottage at Branxholme Castle is beautiful and very easy to get to. Very well appointed. Decorated tastefully for Christmas. The 4 double bedrooms are large and very comfortable. We enjoyed the hot-tub and playing pool even though the old stone-walled games room was freezing. The cottage had everything we needed for our family Christmas. Only downside was the TV in the lounge area - while tastefully looking like a mirror - was a bit small for the size of the room.
Overall our stay was perfect and we would visit again.
