Great location to explore local attractions including the Cairngorms, Dundee (V&A Museum)/HMS Unicorn and Dunottar Castle. Dag was very welcoming and provides an extremley well stocked fridge and kitchen. If you like Whiskey you are also in for a treat! Luggage is taken up to the apartment by lift so no need to lug this up the 57 or so steps. Felt like a home from home.

Anniston Bothy was a pleasure to stay in. It was spotlessly clean and had all the comforts you required for a short stay. We were there with our 2 grandchildren aged 7 and 5 and dog They loved the freedom of the green area and a big bonus was the small activity frame in the garden surrounding the bothy. Angus came to meet us when we arrived and was very helpful with any info about the area and places to go. The beds were very comfortable we all had a great nights sleep. Great shower and lovely toiletry products available too. We were close to both Montrose and Arbroath which have lots to do for the kids. Lunan Bay beach was a 5 minute drive away which was great for the kids and the dog. Decent parking and a little cafe on site too. We ate at Imries Bar and Grill in Lunan Bay which was very relaxed for kids and dogs, very reasonably priced too

We enjoyed the cottage, especially since we were caught up in Storm Babet. Thankfully, we had no power cuts. Excellent wood burner in the sitting room made it cosy for us.

Beautiful – and very large – room (I was offered an upgrade on arrival, for an extra £10 a night). Nicely decorated, comfy bed and chairs, nice furniture, deep carpet, and all very clean.

The staff were so friendly and attentive. Our room was spacious, very clean and nicely decorated and everything was in a good state of repair. We booked into the restaurant for our evening meal and the food was excellent, as was the service. Breakfast in the morning was also excellent and a good variety of cereals, fruit, juices, hot food and the option to order from the kitchen. There is also an ample sized car park.
Had a lovely stay at the Wellington Retreat! The bed was so comfortable and the flat was very clean. The location is great, 10-15min walk to shops and 20ish minute walk to the beautiful beach nearby. The biscuits and milk were much appreciated upon check-in.
