Booked for family - a couple.
They had expected it to look like it was in the photos, but there was little comparison. They found it cosy but it was tired and stained in places. Whilst they had a good break they were disappointed that it did not reflect what was sold through Booking.com.

They arranged alterative accommodation and didn't leave us with nowhere to go.

This has to be one of the worst places I’ve ever stayed. Looks striking as you arrive and see it on the lake but the minute we opened the door the smell was awful, there is a tank which collects the toilet deposits behind the hut and the bathroom absolutely stinks and it flows throughout the cabin. I had to leave once it got dark and went back in the morning. Nothing luxury about the cabin whatsoever, very basic. Furnishings in bedroom very dated . Dried residue in sugar canister . Garden chairs were sodden and mouldy, table was filthy and all the decking veranda was covered in bird poo. You couldn’t cast out properly for fishing due to a giant tree obstructing the area. It really does not justify the price at all.
Great for families or large parties, holiday homes are privately owned accommodation, available for long or short-term rental. These homes are furnished and equipped with kitchen facilities for self-catering, although breakfast may be offered as an add-on. These properties have their own independent front door, which makes them different to apartments.
Lovely cottage, lots of space and amenities, beautiful garden with a lovely view. Very clean and modern. Great wifi. Really close to the Poet at Matfield (amazing gastropub)!
