Was a last minute booking as we needed a place for the night and couldn’t have picked anything better, staff were very friendly and helpful.Room was very clean, bed comfortable would have stayed longer but they were booked pity.
Modernly furnished rooms, everything very clean, great pub atmosphere, still very quiet at night, all around an excellent place to stay. The hotel owner even drove us to the starting point of our hike. Where else can you find such a selfless willingness to do something good for your guests without asking for anything in return? Just great!
Great location. Lovely decor, design and layout with nicely separated bathroom/toilet area away from main bedroom. Very clean. Warm, friendly reception. We were unaware we booked the same day as Manningtree Christmas Fair so that was a lovely surprise as it brought such a lively atmosphere and lots of stalls, and extra food and drink stands that wouldn’t otherwise have been in town. We already booked to have dinner at the Crown.

Including fire pit in garden pity it rained ! Very clean welcoming beautifully decorated fab weekend away. Short drive walk to mistley/ manningtree handy garage few doors down
