Everything was lovely and welcoming. The facilities were excellent, with milk, tea, coffee, sugar, and biscuits provided. Shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner were also available. Having a whole small house in the centre of town was fantastic. A good sized living room, a well equipped kitchen downstairs, and a great sized bedroom, and a bathroom with both a bath tub and separate large shower upstairs. The house was warm and cosy, with some nice added extras (milk and biscuits in the fridge, plenty of tea and coffee options). It was a great location for the centre of town - everything was easily accessible, and it was tucked away, so noise was minimal.

Very clean throughout and the showers were great. The interior has been updated and looks great, yet retains character. The location was great for exploring Suffolk. The staff were polite and helpful. The food was excellent.
The owners were very accommodating as we weren't going to get to the property to well after midnight due to going to a wedding during the day, they had left a light on for us so our lodge was easy to find and a key code box to gain entry - Perfect. There was a very good kitchenette within the lodge which was stocked with all utensils, crockery etc that you could need - so we made our own breakfast. It was very clean, tidy and little touches made it homely.
Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Room was very clean and comfortable in a nicely appointed and historic building. Breakfast was excellent, very well cooked with some of the best tasting bacon and sausages I have ever had. Long Melford is a great base from which to explore South West Suffolk eg Bury St Edmunds, Sudbury, etc. We would happily stay here again.
