Yes, our stay did exceed our expectations. Great House is an outstanding, family-run, historic property in beautiful condition, ideally located for exploring the town and surrounding area. Our host Paula looked after us so well and it was a joy to be greeted by her each morning. The breakfasts were superb and the room was beautiful, and very clean. If you expect your guest house to be modern, clinical, bright and without character, run by zombies, this may not be for you though...
We stayed in the apartment on a Sunday night. We were impressed by the size and facilities available, and the nice decor. The beds and sofa were very comfortable and we were toasty warm. It was all very clean.
We were warned about noise but it wasn't a problem on a Sunday.
