Lovely property in the centre of town, a short walk from all local amenities and the bus station. Very comfortable and cosy without feeling small, and it was spotlessly clean! As we were there in Oct I was a little worried about how cold it might be as it's an old house, but it never felt cold. The beds were very comfortable. Our host, Donald, was very kind and even picked us up from the airport. Some milk, bread and a few local treats were waiting for us on arrival.

Shona and Billy were so friendly and helpful. The cottage is very comfortable and was toasty warm on arrival. Shona provided a lovely welcome pack including eggs, a home baked cake and various Orkney treats. It is located about halfway between Kirkwall and Stromness so is really handy for all the sites in the western mainland.

This was a genuine brilliant find, by my wife ;-) The feel of the whole property is like you have stepped into a true home from home, all the kitchen utensils and loads of useful bits and pieces, even a store cupboard with coffee, tea's, spices etc (I think some of these have been left by previous guests, but it really made you feel at home). Seating was comfortable in the lounge and at the dinning table. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, with fresh linen and lovely fluffy towels.

Of all the places we stayed on our 21 day Scotland adventures, this one was at the top of our list. It's such a cute place with a cozy little living room, a kitchen perfect for a small group, and nice sleeping quarters. It was also conveniently located to lots of sites on the island. The host left jam and scones for us. The jam was so good we wanted to buy a few jars. Alas it was homemade rhubarb and not for sale. We'll be trying to figure out how to make it ourselves now. Thank you for the easy booking! If we're ever back, we will visit again.
Great for families or large parties, holiday homes are privately owned accommodation, available for long or short-term rental. These homes are furnished and equipped with kitchen facilities for self-catering, although breakfast may be offered as an add-on. These properties have their own independent front door, which makes them different to apartments.

Beautiful dining room & lounge, contemporary, comfortable & stylish. Food excellent, especially lunch & dinner. Staff friendly & helpful. Room wasn’t huge but very clean & comfortable.

Spacious very clean flat, well situated both for town and travelling to view the sites. Host very helpful when phoned with any questions, would thoroughly recommend. Very convenient too for shops - Lidl and Tesco just across the road.
The staff were very helpful, the included breakfast was excellent, and the room was very clean. The coffee service in the room was also great and they kindly provided plates and cutlery for dinner if you were doing takeout.
We loved the central location of the property, located close to all the hot spots and with the added bonus of having a great coffee place (Archive Coffee) on its doorstep. The property itself is nice and cosy and very clean with all the kitchen utensils available to cook breakfast or dinner. It also has a great WiFi connection. All in all a we had a great time.
