Nice bungalow in a very quiet, small residential estate only minutes from the main village. Local village green and small play area was great for taking the dog and grandchild in the mornings before we set off on travels. The bus stop even has a shelf with books to borrow/read or jigsaw to do while waiting. The house is 5 min drive down to the beach and only 4 min drive to Crail where there is a Coop and other shops for supplies or eating. The villages all around the East Neuk are beautifully kept and community spirited. Common to see knitted 'hats' on post boxes. Only 10 minutes to St. Andrews travelling north. The bungalow was very well equipped, plenty of towels and bedding, games and books. We didn't use the conservatory very much as the weather wasn't too warm or sunny but imagine it would be a sun trap and a relaxing area to have breakfast or coffee. There are 3 good sized bedrooms and a lounge/dining room which were perfect for 4 of us and our dog.
The Inn at Kingsbarns is a very short walk from the house and serves lovely food. There is a limited menu and it isn't open to non residents on Mondays or Tuesdays but it is a warm, welcoming bar and restaurant. Its also dog friendly. The scenery around the whole area is stunning.

After spending two busy days in Edinburgh we drove up to stay here as a half way stop off on our way home and it was the perfect place to unwind after a busy couple days in the capital. The cabins are situated in a stunning area and are finished to a high standard. Situated just outside of St Andrews the location is ideal to escape the hustle and bustle of life but close enough to go into town and spend the day. The cabins are extremely cozy, extremely clean, shower is great, beds comfy and the complimentary tea, coffee and milk is a great touch. We really couldn’t of asked for anything more from our stay here it was absolutely perfect.
Great for families or large parties, holiday homes are privately owned accommodation, available for long or short-term rental. These homes are furnished and equipped with kitchen facilities for self-catering, although breakfast may be offered as an add-on. These properties have their own independent front door, which makes them different to apartments.
Very clean, nicely decorated, 3 bathrooms, well appointed kitchen and appliances. The location is quiet. We would definitely come back if visiting Crail and St. Andrews again. Highly recommend.
Very clean and well kitted out. Even sharp kitchen knives! Great location - quiet, easy walk to the beach, and very convenient for exploring the rest of the Fife coast. Rooms were a good size, lovely bathrooms and good living space.
We had the pleasure of staying at Scotchacre this weekend (Fri 8th to Mon 11th)
It was extremely comfortable/cosy, well equipped, beautifully presented with good quality decor/furniture and very clean and tidy.
The private garden and peaceful surroundings added to our lovely stay too.
The host was exceptionally helpful and an absolute delight to talk with also.
We hope to return sometime for a longer break and will definitely be recommending Scotchacre to everyone we know.
The house was amazing, very clean and comfortable. With close location to the beach, villages and St Andrews. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We would not hesitate in booking again.
