Lovely location and really welcoming hosts. The information pack left was very useful. Can strongly recommend the Red Lion nearby for food. The Lodge was really clean and beautifully furnished. It's not often o sleep so well in strange beds but struggled to wake before 1000am.

The owner/manager was very, very helpful. The food was well cooked, well presented and tasty. We were able to get a3-course breakfast and an evening meal (2 or 3 courses).
The beds were very comfortable. The "wardrobe facilities" were easily accessible, with enough coat-hangers and of good quality. The views from the windows were very pleasant.
The hotel was well situated, with easy access to the castles and towns we wanted to visit. Easy parking, close to the hotel entrance.
