Cosy cottage in a very peaceful location in a forested area. Large bathroom with hot shower and bath. Bed reasonably comfortable. We walked to Trellech and Tintern from the cottage with the aid of a very useful OS map provided by the owner. The autumn colours en route were a wonderful sight. Trellech has a very friendly village pub and the Abbey Mill in Tintern serves lovely coffee and cakes. Both Monmouth and Chepstow are within easy reach by car.

A gem of a place in the Welsh countryside. Quiet and peaceful and a stunning little conversion. Monmouth only a few miles down the road, a great pub within walking distance and a local gin distillery which is definitely worth a visit. The property was warm, smart, comfortable and the owners went out of their way to add the little extras such as dog treats, dog towells and a dog bed. Our pack has never been so chilled. Enclosed garden is enclosed which was great for us and just down the road, if you have a reactive dog, there are secure dogs fields. Lots to explore in the local area. We could not have asked for a better place to stay.

The property is as close to the forest as I could imagine. There are paths just outside the gate. We had everything that we needed. The property was very clean. We had wonderful meals at the Tudor Farmhouse in Clearwell and The Miners, Sling.
There was nothing not to like, everything there that you needed. Very clean and modern. And the treats Nadine left for us was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. They are a lovely family, would highly recommend. Lots of information on places to go,eat etc.
Location was Quiet and a great base to explore attractions in the area or just to enjoy a relaxing day at the cottage , It was great to park the car on the driveway with a secure gate, property was very clean and contained everything we needed for a pleasant stay.
