We very much enjoyed the stay. The lodge itself was lovely. The living area was very comfy and clean.
You can't hear the nearby A1 or any traffic. The park itself was quiet. The running fox nearby is worth a short drive for some afternoon tea. Also Edlingham castle ruins and surrounding areas are pretty.
HOT TUB: The hot tub was nice and we used it both nights. Fence around the hot tub was great for privacy. The gap in the fencing makes the hot tub a little too open. Maybe something could help make it more private. I think it probably needs some attention. There was dirt or grit in the bottom / on the seats. For this reason I am not sure how often it is completely emptied and cleaned. I am no hot tub expert and no idea about this but it just seemed a little older or less well kept than other hot tubs I have used. We were still able to use it, it worked ok and it was the reason we chose the lodge.
WIFI - We paid for the WiFi as we wanted to be able to call our families and kids while we were away and knew the phone signal would probably be lacking. The WiFi shouldn't be chargeable as it's not very good. Just add the cost in with the lodge cost rather than making it an extra chargeable add on, since its a bit hit and miss. Makes it feel like you're paying for something that is just a bit rubbish to be honest.
KITCHEN: Kitchen was well equipped and everything worked. I'm not sure things are washed or checked after previous guests by cleaners. We were asked to wash and dry all dishes prior to leaving, which we did. But when we arrived the mugs weren't well cleaned. Probably down to the previous people staying in the lodge and no checks on this kind of thing. We washed everything again before use. Something to watch out for if you are staying. There are no trays to use in the oven. We looked everywhere. Either trays and / or foil would have been handy for oven food to cook on. Other than that the kitchen was well equipped.

We loved it in wor hoose, perfect location for pubs, restaurants, walking, parking just outside of the house.
Great for families or large parties, vacation homes are privately owned accommodations, available for long or short-term rental. These homes are furnished and equipped with kitchen facilities, though breakfast might be offered as an add-on. These properties have their own independent front door, which makes them different than apartments.
Lovely big room at the top of the house. The bathroom again was lovely and big, separate on the floor below but just for us and very clean. The shower was excellent. Good location for the area. Breakfast was cooked really well and nicely presented.
The house and our room were very clean, furnished to a high standard.
Breakfast was excellent! Wide choice of cereals plus yoghurt, nuts and seeds. Everything you could ask. Cooked breakfast beautifully cooked and well presented.
Owners very welcoming and friendly.
Fantastic property in a great location to explore Northumberland. Very clean and comfortable with everything you need in a holiday home. Only needed the heating on one evening and it very quickly heated up the property so I imagine it would be lovely and cosy for a visit at any time of year.
Outside there is a beautiful seating area topped off with a fantastic hot tub very generously sized for 4 people.
The room was lovely, very clean, amazing decor and the bed was so comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities and biscuits and little chocolate renewed every day. The home was beautifully decorated throughout, breakfast was really nice with a good choice of full English to boiled eggs, top up of tea or coffee and toast. I was in the king-size room which had a private bathroom on the floor below with a walk in shower and separate bath. Lovely shower and bath gels.
Steve and Lesley are good hosts and were very welcoming and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfasts were nicely presented and delicious.
Mr. & Mrs. Bridge were SO welcoming and could not have done more for us. They offer quite a bespoke service. Breakfast was delicious. The house and rooms are beautifully decorated, very clean, and the lighting was better than the hotels we stayed in. I would highly recommend a stay at The Bridges, albeit that it is a small B&B - one feels thoroughly "looked after ".
Lesley and Steve were lovely, greeted us when we arrived, helped us with our bags and just made us feel so welcome from the minute we arrived. The room was very clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was very good, freshly cooked and nice and hot. Mr & Mrs Bridges were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The B and B is beautifully decorated and very clean. It was good to have private parking and the area was very quiet no noisy traffic or people. Also, within easy access of many places.
