A great location walking distance in to Bowmore. Beautiful views of the water from the front window. Kitchen was well equipped with everything you need to cook in. For coffee drinkers, there is a cafetiere (French press). Having the washing machine was great (bring detergent) and there are a couple of drying racks and clothes line out back if the weather permits. Hair dryers available.

The location is great. It is a comfortable place with ample space. It is a nice building (old school) where multiple apartments are located. It is higher up the hill so you have an nice view. And there is nearly no traffic at all so it is nice and quiet. The hostess is helpful and will try to fix any shortcomings (see what I did not like).

Overall, the cottage was a win. We booked it to stay with friends and their family and while we all had to share the one bathroom, once we figured out who was sleeping where, it was fine. The cottage is close to Port Ellen, though we did drive into town it is walkable. We also walked to the singing sand beach and square lighthouse. The host was super helpful, communicated via email and WhatsApp, and they even responded to inquiries/messages after we checked out.
Great for families or large parties, vacation homes are privately owned accommodations, available for long or short-term rental. These homes are furnished and equipped with kitchen facilities, though breakfast might be offered as an add-on. These properties have their own independent front door, which makes them different than apartments.

Lovely place to stay at Bowmore. Spacious room, large bath room. Very clean. Breakfast can be taken next door at the Lochside, which is a great place with friendly staff. Great outdoor views too
Very warm welcome from Andrew. Location was perfect for me due to having to commute for work purposes through out the Island. The room was very clean, tidy and cosy.
The cooked breakfast was 10/10, just what was needed for a busy day ahead of me.
The location is brilliant, central to Bowmore with all shops, pubs, bus stops, the distillery and tourist information within 5 minutes walk. Room very large, very clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and chatty.
There was no breakfast, and might have expected it for this cost of the room per night. However, the accommodation was very clean and comfortable, and the staff were excellent.
