Bike Park Lodge, hotel in Abertillery

Offering quiet street views, Bike Park Lodge is an accommodation located in Merthyr Tydfil, 39 km from University of South Wales - Cardiff Campus and 39 km from Motorpoint Arena Cardiff.

Perfect location and good amenities. The owner was very helpful and there is absolutely everything in the house that you need. I was unsure about leaving my bike in the lock up outside until i saw it. It was a steal container that was so secure. Bike tools and jet wash provided. Great heated house with a bathroom and a separate shower. Great kitchen and dining room. Spotlessly clean and we will definitely recommend to any groups going to BPW. This is the only place you can stay if you’re carrying bike on a car.

The accommodation was very clean with new appliances. It has recently been renovated or decorated. Spacious 3-bed apartment. Lovely and comfortable furnishings. Welsh cookies - welcome treat from the host. The host was quick to respond to queries. There was private parking at the rear of the property. WiFi is available. Tesco extra supermarket within 5 minutes walk away. It felt like home away from home. Highly recommended for family or a group.

Fantastic value although we just occupied one of the three bedrooms. Stylish decor. Great TV for the rare occasions it rains in Wales. Excellent shower. Very clean and tidy. The location couldn't have suited us better since we had matters to attend to in Abertillery but within reasonable distance of Hay-on-Wye. Almost oddly quiet given the proximity of many neighbours. Friendly black cat.

The host was really attentive and kind. The facility was very clean and cozy. The host kindly prepared foods for breakfast. We fully enjoyed the stay there, hiring a boat on the canal nearby (30 min by car) and an underground tour at Big Pit.

lovely clean house. When we arrived quite late the heating had been put on so it was very cosy. the house was very clean and all the essentials had been left for us like tea, coffee, milk, dish washer tabs, laundry tabs etc. the bed was really comfortable, slept really well! the shower was massive with good pressure. the terrace was lovely but we didn’t get to enjoy it unfortunately as we were out all day working.

The property is very well located for walking in the Valleys/Hills. Easy to get to Cardiff or Newport, or the Brecon Beacons. It was very clean and beautifully presented. It has been creatively restored with good facilities. Easy to find and on-street parking which was plentiful and safe.
