Gorgeous place to stay, spacious, beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and really well equipped with everything you might need. Fabienne and Phillippe were so welcoming, providing information and recommendations but also giving complete privacy. The location is great for travelling around the area, only 25 minutes from Pornic. Railway service into Nantes is easy. We definitely hope to return soon.

Les gites de la Grande Borderie is an agricultural complex that, in addition to the owners' lodgings, also houses three beautiful gites. The whole is idyllic and is located in a magical place in the middle of the marshes of the French Vendee. The peace and space are unparalleled! Our eye immediately fell on the beautiful and detached l'etable, with its beautiful glass front. We were privileged to stay there for six wonderful and relaxed days! We can be very brief about the design and quality of the house, the terrace and the amenities. Everything is really excellent! The abundance of nature comes with a few minor inconveniences. Despite the beautiful weather, there was a real strong wind. There were also many flies. We regretted that there was no insect screen on one of the windows in the living room.

Corinne and her family live upstairs from the apartment and Corinne couldn’t be more helpful. Advising my wife and I of local places to visit, eat and to get groceries. The apartment is spacious clean very well appointed and very comfortable. The property has a big garden that guests have the use of. Parking is available right outside the property and the main street of the little town is a short flat walk away and has all the shops and amenities a person would need. There is a huge Super U and a small intermarche within a 2 mile drive. The area is where salt is produced by evaporation from the sea and oysters are farmed. It is a delightful part of France. Interesting and beautiful. We would have no hesitation in staying here again. Thank you Corinne.
