'Le refuge du bonheur' is a pleasant, spacious place to stay in Bitche. The location was recently renovated (June 2023) and has a cosy atmosphere. The living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom are very neat and offer a lot of comfort (even an electric oven in addition to a microwave). For the little guests there is also a changing table, cot, large toy box and children’s books. Thanks to electronic contact, we received all the necessary information in a timely manner. The young, friendly owners of 'Le refuge du bonheur' who live opposite the accommodation, gave us a warm welcome, as did their sweet, big black dog 😉. The residence is located just on the edge of Bitche, making it very quiet to sleep at night. Moreover, you can park your car within the fence and the location offers many opportunities to explore the region. 'Le refuge du bonheur' is definitely a good place to stay for several days.

We only stayed two nights but loved everything.
The gite was spotlessly clean and very well equipped with everything you could possibly need and more. We enjoyed breakfast on the lovely private terrace with fabulous views of the countryside and the Storks nesting in the village.
Really lovely owners who have thought of everything to make your stay memorable.
Lots to see and do and plenty of excellent restaurants close by in Niederbronn les Bains Reichshoffen and Gundershoffen Will definitely return here when we visit this beautiful part of France again.

Spacious, nicely decorated and very well equipped house (or should I say "oasis"?) with a beautiful garden. Owners are amazing, very supportive and very kind people and you can tell that they have put a lot of love and passion into this house.
Wellness facilities and bathrooms are over the top (in a good way), with an endless supply of towels to cover for frequent use. The garden comes with a nice dining area with blinds that can be closed if the sun gets too intrusive during your meal. Football, badminton, tennis rackets etc are foreseen to keep (the kids) active when you're not out enjoying one of the many places of interest the region has to offer.

What a perfect place to stay and relax.
The property is in a lovely little town which is very quiet. The place itself is just stunning, it is spotlessly clean, very comfortable, it has a beautiful interior and everything you need. The pool, steam room and sauna are just amazing! We spent so much time in the pool just relaxing. The owner is really friendly and helpful and the delicious breakfast provided is an added bonus. I would highly recommend staying at Au p’tit bonheur.

These homes are furnished and equipped with kitchen facilities for self-catering, although breakfast may be offered as an add-on. These properties have their own independent front door, which makes them different to apartments.
Very clean, cosy, with a wonderful view from a balcony, completed of all necessary for a long staying. It was really pleasant to stay. We were 3 adults and one of us slept in the living room, it was comfortable. Absolutely recommended.
