This holiday home is rustic but spotless, spacious and comfy. The owner, Laura, is a lovely person and very helpful. We requested a coffee maker and she provided one the very next day. (Be careful that the filter is inserted correctly.) She also highly recommended Áviles and we’re glad she did since it has a beautiful and interesting Old Town. There’s a toilet with a washbasin off the upper bedroom and a complete bathroom with shower on the ground floor, separate from the ground floor bedroom. Weather was a bit chilly and we were happy that the central heating worked so well. If you can understand Spanish, a chat with the neighboring farmer, a man in his 80s but still hard-working and clear-minded, is well-worth your time. The nearest beach is a short walk from the house and is interesting to explore, especially at low tide. The lugworm sand casts turn the beach into a work of art when the light is right. There’s a beach bar but opening hours are limited. You can easily walk from the beach to the town of Luanco. The Marine Museum in Luanco is worth visiting.
