Really nice idea this shipping container in the forest by an excellent beach in a great area to explore. The cabin was very nicely furnished and certainly big enough for a few days. One issue that could be improved but didn’t really bother us too much: the drainage in the sauna/shower room. One suggestion for the next guests or the host: bring/provide an outdoor cooking pan. We brought our own and cooked outdoors (in perfect weather I should say) which was really great and extended the space further.

The cabin is obviously quite new so it's in great condition and well looked after. The kitchen has just the right amount of things and it was a lovely comfortable stay - I could have looked out the window for days! But alas, the beach beckoned and at just a minutes walk away the location is divine! I watched sunset from the observation tower, swam in the sea and made use of the complimentary hot chocolate as often as possible. I would love to come back. Just a note: perhaps bird feeders could be placed in the wood area. Perhaps this is not the done thing in Estonia but it's the sort of thing you see in the UK and it makes it a lovely way to see birds.
Great for families or large parties, holiday homes are privately owned accommodation, available for long or short-term rental. These homes are furnished and equipped with kitchen facilities for self-catering, although breakfast may be offered as an add-on. These properties have their own independent front door, which makes them different to apartments.

Big and very clean room. Comfortable bed. And no TV - encouraging people to go outside and get to know Käsmu, which is one of the most beautiful places in Estonia with any weather.

Our 5-day holiday in Merikalda was delightful. The apartment was very clean and comfortable with an excellent bed and a well-equipped mini-kitchen, and friendly owners always ready to offer advice. Every corner of the well-tended garden offered chairs and tables for relaxation and enjoying the sea-view and abundant bird-life. There are forest and coastal paths nearby for walking and cycling. All in all Merikalda provided quality holiday accomodation in peaceful surroundings. Strongly recommended, Maija & Mike
A beautiful beach holiday house with a very big yard, full equipped kitchen, nice living room, Wifi, comfortable beds. The owner was very friendly letting earlier checkin and introduce the history of this house that’s very interesting.
