Very good location, lovely views. Very central located for visiting a lot of Thüringen. When we arrived we were appointed to a cabin that was not yet cleaned, which gave me a freight. But it was resolved, we got a different cabin, so that wasn't a real problem.

    The holiday home was spacious (we were two couples), clean and excellent value. The wood cabins blended in well to the surroundings. The Thuringer Wald is a beautiful, quite mountainous wooded area and not so spoilt by tourism. The long distance Rennsteig walk (162 miles and Germany's oldest long distance walk is only a couple of miles away. There are some lovely towns not far away - Bamberg, Weimar, Erfurt, Eisenach, Coburg, Schmalkalden etc. Something different!
